I'm Alive, and My Nanowrimo Action Plan
Hello Friends,
How are you?
I want to THANK so many of you lovely people for checking in on me during Sandy.
Yes, we were a direct hit...and there was some minor house damage, etc., but I am fine, my little family is fine.
I hope all of YOU are well, safe, healthy. Those of you also affected by Sandy, my thoughts are with you. *warm hugs*
Okay, moving on to Nanowrimo!

Are you participating this year? I am. (you can buddy me at: the-sharp-pen)
I have won Nano every year for the last several years and have found what works for me.
But since writing processes are different for every writer (there is no one right way), I have shared helpful TIPS FOR CARVING OUT PRECIOUS WRITING TIME, especially for those of us with busy families.
(these tips are also useful for writing on deadlines)
You can see my Nano-Success tips HERE.
But the REAL secret?
BITCHOK: butt in chair hands on keyboard (NOT ONLINE/social media...use social media as your reward for hitting 2k that day)
So, what are YOU doing to prepare?
WRITE BRAVELY!
Love,

About Me
- Lola Sharp
- My name is Lola. (I'm not a showgirl) Yes, L-O-L-A Lola. It's the least of my worries. Let's move on, shall we? This blog is mostly about my misadventures on the journey to publication and beyond. My passion for lush prose, quirky characters, art, music, literature, performing arts and anything creative will be a major theme here. This journey of mine will not always be pretty. Much like rubbernecking a train wreck, I know sometimes you just can't help but look at the carnage that is often my life. So strap on your neck brace, helmet and 5-point harness and come along for the ride! Licentia poetica.

Hey Lola! Good to hear your family is all right. Not doing NaNo this year as I am editing my next book, but good luck. Butt in chair!
Very good to hear you and yours survived the storm.
I have plans to participate in NaNo but no story idea as of yet. A minor detail.
Best of luck to you.
Oh noes!!! :-( Lola!! I'm so glad you and your family are ok!! Been watching the BBC updates since yesterday and goodness me!!
Good luck with your Nano-ing!!! Only one day to go! Yikes! take care

I'm glad you're okay!! We didn't get hit as bad as they predicted, thank goodness. No loss of power or anything. My thoughts and prayers are with those who weren't so lucky.
I'm pretty sure we're NaNo buddies from before! I'm Sunshine21
Lola, I'm glad to hear you and your family are well! It must have been so frightening but you've come through it so courageously.
I'm not participating in Nano but I'll be wishing everyone who is luck. You've got a good track record (obviously!) so thanks for sharing your tips.

Glad to hear you made it through Sandy safely!
This is my first year doing NaNo. I have some basic notes down to refer to (I'm not a pantser; going in blind freaks me out), but I'm sure they'll change as I go along. :-)
So glad you and your family are safe and well! Sandy is scary!
I'll be NaNoing along with you again! YAY!! I love the pace and craziness of the whole month :)
Glad to hear you and yours are safe!
Prepare, hmmm? You are so optimistic! I have all the ideas in my head... :) I've made some notes and I would truly love to outline but something in my DNA just doesn't make it possible. I swear I try.
I'm ready to start and see where the words take me!
I do have some character outlines written.
Glad to hear you made it through the storm okay!
I just finished the plot synopsis for my NaNoWriMo novel; I'm hoping that will help keep me on track.
Glad to hear you're okay, despite some challenges with the storm. Best of luck with NaNo~ sounds like you're super prepared!
So glad to hear you guys are okay, Lola. That's why we live in California. Supposedly we get earthquakes here, but the truth is we rarely feel any... Wait! What was that? ;)
Take care, my friend. *waves*

I am so glad you and your family are okay! Good luck with the clean up and repairs.
And with nano!! I'm revising right now so not participating.
I never make it to your blog until DAYS later, but still, so glad you're okay.
Glad you're okay! And yes, butt in chair is the ultimate Nano tip! Good luck this year.
I left something for you over at Alexia's.
I wish I'd had the presence of mind to remember you and Sandy. Thank Gordy all is well, and you and yours are safe. More importantly (:D), I hope you're kicking your NaNo manuscript's a$$ and making it your...well, you know. Cheering you on from the sidelines!
Best,
:D
Glad you are okay- my heart goes out to everyone affected by Sandy. Best of wishes on the NaNo effort too- it's just a little too daunting for me right now, but someday. Guess I should follow your advice and get back to writing :) (and get off the social media)
