Busy Bees

Hello Friends,

Happy Monday. How are you?

1) I've been a very busy bee, bumbling and buzzing,

doing critiques for fellow writer friends, planning my next novel...

...getting ready for NANOWRIMO...

(FYI: I'll be doing a big post on Nano-ing on Friday...but even if you are not doing Nano this year, the post will talk a lot about carving sacred writing time out of our busy schedules.)

... taking care of my family (including PSATs and Homecoming, etc.), you know, LIFE.

2) Tomorrow (Tues. the 18th) I'll be giving away some ARCS (Advanced Reader Copies) and doing an author interview with the lovely Hilary Wagner on her writing process, to celebrate her sophomore book release.

3) I love Spotify .♪♫•*¨*•.♬ I love creating playlists for writing and life.

4) Last night season 2 of THIS came back!

5) Because, really, who doesn't love some good old fashioned zombie apocalypse fun?!

6) I love this:

7) I

8) Talk to me. How are you? How is your writing going? Are you MAKING time to write?

"Busy Bee" always reminds me of Best in Show when the spaz couple is tearing the hotel apart looking for the dog's busy bee toy. "That one's the least like a bee out of all of them..."

Yeah, so like I finally got some luv from the missus on NaNo this year: I'm all teary eyed, cuz I'm in! We'll see if you can keep up there, Miss Daisy...

And, I have to admit, though it brings much embarrassment, that I only started season 1 of Walking Dead (via Netflix) two nights ago. Shows you how far afield we are here in Sicily-world, and also how out of touch I be. :D But it's totally rad so far...

Your coming attractions sound right cool! Hope you're writing also!

Stay groooooovy!! :D

Jess, *waves*, I like the zombie fingers, too. I hope life in Greece is treating you well.

Prerna, ME TOO!! :)

Dan, I LOVE that movie...and busy bee always reminds me of that scene too! I'm not ashamed to admit that I've probably seen that movie 20 times. It just never gets old.

YAY, JP, I'm glad you'll be doing Nano with me this year! You best prepare to have your arse handed to you, son! ;) *throws gauntlet*

Lindsay, I'm glad you are writing. I know you've been in editing hell for a while. (me too) (SOOO exciting to start something new, isn't it?)

Hey Lola! Good to hear from you. I did NaNo last year and enjoyed it. Right now I'm just preparing for the launch of my second book next February.

Thank you for number six. I've started a new personal essay that is distracting me from the novel...but hopefully only for the short term...

Oh I love the Walking Dead season 2 thus far. I hope that Carl is okay. It'd be really upsetting if he died because of the gunshot wound he received.

LOL at the finger zombies. Hilarious! :D I'm in the revisions go-round, but I think they're going well... I think. :p <3

good luck w/NaNo!

Awwww Hello lovely Lola!!! You are the cutest busy bee ever! Yay!!!

I love the Ira Glass quote - being creative is one thing but actual creating is something else - that takes time, energy, time and effort and sheer bloody determination! Oh and time! LOL! Take care

Carving out time for writing is tough these days, but I'm still managing! :) Hope you are well!

HeheHEEE--love that zombie finger art! I laughed out loud when I saw that. And good for you, for planning to try NaNo!! (and yep, I'm making time to write. I feel so delightfully selfish, haha)

How lucky am I to have stumbled upon YOUR blog, too! Thanks for stopping by. It's always exciting to meet another writer. I love NaNoWriMo. Good luck!

I love The Walking Dead! There was so much suspense when they had to hide under the cars, although I wondered how they couldn't smell them--was it because of the fuel?
Anyway, you asked about writing, and I'm taking a short break, gearing up for NaNo.
